two-day opportunity for
I became a full time artist/painter in 1983. I’ve always strived to provide my artwork to as many people as possible by selling my work at very reasonable prices. Because of that, I’ve been very successful as a commissioned artist and have never looked for work. It’s given me the opportunity to become skilled in painting portraits, en plein air painting and murals.
All my paintings are marked down and affordably priced. You’ll be able to purchase my original paintings for less than many artist’s sell their giclée prints.
100% of the proceeds will help fund my living expenses during these coming months of recovery and for ongoing medical services and prescription costs.
We will take cash and accept all major cards, using a touchless payment system.
The Reason I am
Liquidating My Original Art
On June 30th, 2020, I underwent a Whipple procedure at Sarasota Memorial Hospital for stage III pancreatic cancer. A highly qualified surgical team performed this operation. I was in surgery for about 5 1/2 hours and spent the next 14 days in the hospital. It was an intensive surgery.
I returned home after my hospital stay. A lifetime of art surrounded me. Art has dominated my life for the past 20 years. I have lived in my artist’s studio for many years. I am surrounded with stretched blank canvases, large and small, numbering in the dozens. Each hoping to be painted someday. That doesn’t seem to matter to me now.
What does seem important to me now, is to find a home for all my original paintings. Some date back decades. For the past 30 years, I have kept large flat files, filled with original paintings for my “retirement plan”.
I am overwhelmed at the idea of leaving them all behind. I hate the idea that they may be discarded, either out of ignorance or convenience. They deserve more. It’s not a task for someone else to bear.
I have decided to hold my own
